but to tell me im throwing my money away when i enter a tournament reminds me alot of my exwife, i fish tournaments to learn and get better and help support the growth of crappie fishing, some days you do well some days you don't thats fishing, nobody i mean nobody is winning everyday, we all have bad days, you talk about those fellas winning back to back because of livescope, i can recall this past may a tournament on that same lake where that livescope sure didn't help them, you will have times when you have figured something out and you are flat on them, then you will have those days where you scratch your head, years back it was the one rod guys complaining about the multi pole fisherman, then it was the guys complaining they didn't have side imaging and now its livescope, i personally fish tournaments to learn and get better
my first tournament i ever fished was on fishing creek in sc with the now defunct southern crappie association, there were 52 boats and we finished 26th, it was an eye opening experience, but i used that to grow positively, no bitterly its really all about perspective and how you are gonna deal with circumstances, you can learn and get better or you can make excuses and become stagnate
i think the real niche that needs to be filled if you are truly looking to start a few tournaments for the right reasons would be an adult youth league, that would be fun, and it would help the sport to truly grow
but untill then excuse me , i need to get my stuff ready to ride down to greenwood this week to go throw my money away
