I just happened to think are the ramps at new hope open?

According to the Jordan Lake Parks website: "New Hope Overlook boat ramp, New Hope Overlook hiking trail, Vista Point boat ramp, Vista Point hiking trail, and Seaforth boat ramp are open. Gates open at 8 a.m. and lock at 8 p.m."

Did you try danger shoal on the deep side leaving new hope ?

I was the first truck at New Hope this morning. I could not believe it 'cause it was after 9am. I started marking fish not far from the ramp so why not. I don't have to burn gas for fun. It was not on fire but I only got to the mouth of the S turns. I ended with 4 channels around 2lbs each.(fun on ultralite). 15 keeper crappie, one green carp. small but nice jumps. Water 74 and all fish 18 to 20 in 30ft of water. Wonderful day. Much needed. Thanks to the two gents from Hope Mills that stopped by to talk. Very nice people.
