80 for sure. I have a 17 ft tracker targa it's a deep v. And I wish I had more sometimes when trolling and I have 80 ft lbs.

One more queston would yall get 60 or 80lb thrust for a lund 17 1/2 tyee about 2000 lbs but then add gear and people maybe 3000 lbs the formula i read online said 60 lb just needsome feedback wana get the rigt one thanks again

If you got the money go ahead and get the Ulterra self deploy 80 lbs thrust. Saves you time and muscle. Get the shaft long enough that when deployed you can adjust the motor head to where you can see it from anywhere in the boat. 60 inch shaft would be great IMO for you. It's nice to see when tight lining or trolling. You can see if your cables are wrapping around the shaft and they will do it unnoticed if you can't see the motor head. Just me though!
