Maybe a silly question, but I don’t want to be in violation.
Do I need a VA license to fish Kerr Lake
If I camp/launch in NC, say Henderson point, and run up as far as Clarksville area, is my NC license sufficient? Am I reading correctly that the Reciprocal Fishing License Agreements cover it?
If I launch in VA, say Ivy point, then I need a VA license?
Thanks

I know you can fish anywhere with a NC license but I believe if you are keeping fish that the size and creel limits apply to where you launch and pull out. I don't know if VA regs match up with NC but should check.
Only Kerr reservoir and any of its creeks, are you allowed to use both state licenses. As I live here on the coast of NC twenty miles south of the Va. border. I fish a river that half is in Va the other half is in NC. You must have both states license.
