If y'all pullers are targeting 8-13 foot. With jigs at 1/32 you aren't telling how u keep , that light of bait down. So 100 fish does me no good, to try and use your methods, until u explain. How and what creeks. Are u scared that I might catch your fish. WOW. There is only so many creeks in lakes . So witch are best? Up stream or down , on termocline or not . Or are u getting lucky.

Not skeerd just been busy,LOL.. I have been longlining jigs for 30yrs +..Randallman is a different world it's full of bait, very fertile, To me it's o big pond.Depending on who is with me I fish 10-12 rods.Getting double 1/32nd jigs down to 8ft is easy,I use #6line I troll at .8-1 mph.with about 40ft. of line out rod tips close to the water. Wednesday the water temp was 86 best I can remember. We caught fish wed, mostly by fishing deeper water 15ft -25, concentrating on the creek channels. We done better than expected Wed.it is July,it was overcast, nice breeze,Fished from about 7-12:30...I had a disabled Veteran with me,We were taping a promo spot for Spectrum news drumming up support for Operation North State.y The fish we caught wed were not March size fish, just some eaters My vet. was looking for frying size fish, mostly scalers, with about a dozen fileting size fish kept

Thanks alot for the info. And thanks for your supporting our troops. And sorry for rant. It's just that for years. Not having time to fish. We'd wait till November , and tie to Ebenezer bridge, with lites Fill coolers. I'm new to pushing and all. I use to long lining minnows, 3 poles off each side no holders.

I have fished many times with poles laying in the boat,Two home made holders on each side of the boat, and a foot control .Over the years I have had 3 or 4 generations of rod holders,Finally I got to the point that I can spend more time and money on what I love to do.I now have Terrova motor, about 10yrs old,Factory made rod holders(driftmasters) yea you have to modify them,So they don't move,But they are MacDaddys. Jig color,,,If I could only have 2,,,Acid rain, and Tennesee Shad.

You get really good at retying jigs,Over time you will learn what areas to avoid,When to speed up to clear shallows and brush.Another thing I encourage others to do is to use as many different colors of line as you can find,Don't fish two lines of the same color side by side.Minor tangles are much easier to clear when you can see what way the line is tangled,,,Crappie don't care what color line you are using.I fish clear, yellow, red, tangerine, camo, gold, any different color.Watch the contour lines on your graph, stay away from some of the shallows, speed up when you cant

Long Line Trolling 101 - Part 1 - YouTube Best video out there to help learn long-lining with jigs. He's fishing 14 poles and double-jigs on every pole by himself!! You have to be organized and prepared to fish this way.
