    Default High rock


    Thinking of renting a house on high rock this fall around first week of oct.what area of lake would be best never been there just wanting some feedback thanks

    Not knowing what may be available, If it was me I would find something on the Main lake,Second or Crane creek. I would not lock myself in Abbots ,or Flat swamp with the low bridges if the water is up,or you have a tall boat,pontoon or center console.

    What he said. Just fishing-wise, Second Creek, main channel, Flat Swamp are usually good for fall fishing.

    Is crane creek area good in oct looking at renting a house there thanks for any advice

    Several years ago it was really good but I mostly catch small fish there now. I didn't get to try it any this spring, but I plan to try a spot or 2 at night this summer. Crane Creek has places very ideal for trolling-flat bottom, not many ledges, 20+ ft deep in the mouth of the creek.

    It's probably as good as any. I haven't fished Crane much, but from there, you can easily hit Swearing, Crow, and Second as well. If I was staying there, I'd focus on those 4 and forget Abbott's and Flat Swamp.
