I fished norman yesterday above 150. I put in at long island the water was still very muddy not to my liking I run all the way down to stumpy creek it was still pretty muddy with lots of boat traffic, skiers and jet skis. Rocky creek was best color for my style of fishing brush. Caught a few small ones in around 25fow. I feel sure the water clarity is better below 150. Water temp is getting pretty warm it was 78 in most places I was fishing yesterday evening and I feel sure it'll be in the 80s by the end of today

Any new feedback on Norman? I will be coming down this weekend for a week vacation with family. I know nothing about this lake. Are the crappie biting and if so which techniques work the best? I am set up for spider rigging but primarily like to troll cranks. I would just like the kids to catch some fish. I also heard there may be some stripers in the lake so may be fun to fish for them it the crappie bite is slow. Any feedback is appreciated!

You may get into some good spotted bass down there. A couple of years ago at a crappie tournament we caught more of them then anything else on crankbaits and jigs. The local guys down there can help you out. Also Google Lake Norman and spotted bass.
Thanks GoFishKY thanked you for this post
