Default What Kind of Fish are These on Harris?

Was fishing on Harris today and saw the fish below on the SI. Any idea what kind of fish they are? The SI is set on 108 feet, so these are some large fish. If I were at the beach, I would say mullet, but obviously we don't have mullet in Harris.

I'd say spawning gizzard shad. They tend to swim in a somewhat linear school and throw in a spin or arc from time to time.

I've never seen a gar on Harris before, but they sure are shaped like them. Those fish could easily be 18" or more long.

I've been catching white perch there, might be what they are...

How was the crowd at ramp? And how was the bite?

We got there early and no problem at the Crosspoint ramp. Taking out around 4:00 wasn't bad either. Didn't fish for crappie--looking for the elusive shellcrackers. Caught one, but on the small side. Lake is maybe a foot above normal, but very fishable compared to other lakes right now.
