I do agree that that the larger ones look like white bass and High Rock is really putting out some nice ones the last few years.

Just to be honest with you I didn't even know they had put a size limit on them, just goes to show a man needs to keep up with the regulations. We use to kill em below the dam at lookout on the catawba river but I don't even know if any are in norman anymore because of the perch. I feel like all I kept were at least 14" though

No worries. Next time you catch a smaller perch, hook it on a down rod on the opposite side of your boat out from the light.... and put it about a foot or two off the bottom. You never know how big a flat head you'll catch. They make great bait.

Yeah I've caught a few good flathead drifting at norman using fresh cut perch on a santee rig. I enjoy catching them, it's kind of slow and hot(temperature) but there fun when you get a good one. Thanks for the tip
