    Default 2 Good Trips

Fished High Rock Sat night, got started fishing around midnight and caught a slew of very large white perch near the mouth of second creek and edge of the yadkin. Didn't really get no quality crappie but I feel sure that they are being caught just not where I was. I fished Norman on Monday and really put in a lot of work moving from brush pile to brush pile, to pier post, to rocks, to stumps and a few in open water but it all played off with my limit of 20 real quality crappie. All the crappie came in twenty feet plus on minnows and b garland jigs(lights out) Can't hardly wait for the rain to stop and work to end this week so I can get back at it! I was about to forget about mentioning it sure was a lot of boats on the water fishing lighted boats at the Rock. You all have a good one and be safe.Name: 20200517_160916.jpg

most of them look like white bass, not perch. So some may not be legal to keep, not sure if this applied to High rock

Sure looked like perch to me , yellow bellied not as white and not enough definitive stripes. I have caught both at high rock

Looks like multiple black lines. Being white bass. Just be careful. Game wardens are out pretty consistently at high Rock.

I apologize, the last thing that I'd wanna do is make anyone mad. I thought people would wanna know what they were caught on and how they were caught. My apologies because I don't get a penny from BG or Rapala, or Whacker Stacker or H Bird , Minn Kota but I sure do give them a lot of my hard earned pennies. I may have to read into the fine print on the rules more for what I can post. Can you take a picture of the jigs you use and post without a name attached? or is that too much info I thought it was all about helping the next fisherman!

No problem here. It was a weak attempt of sarcastic humor. I just recently used a pack of Lights Out for the first time and was impressed. They may have been on the market for years, but I tend to use Monkey Milk or Electric Chicken.

Careful now. Gotta know the difference between white perch and white bass. 14 inches.
