Thanks for the reply perch killer. Ended up going to moss this morning and catching a limit of crappie. It's a little closer to home with the chance of storms around. Thanks again and good luck

I live about 5 miles from lake James and if I were you I would I would save my gas and time and stay at moss trying to catch a walleye in lake James is like trying to find a needle in a haystack

I fished for them up there a lot several years ago until the striper bug bit me. I used to catch them pretty good trolling. I know it had gotten tougher the last couple years I fished for them.
