Glad your okay. That for sure is the most important thing. But I’m curious if the guy had insurance to cover your damages and how that is working out for you.

    Well Full Throttle,

I hope you get your boat repaired soon! After sitting inside the house for the past month or so, people are starting to go stir crazy and need to get out!! If you ever decide to find another place to fish, let me know and I can introduce you to Randleman Lake up here near Greensboro, NC. Maybe you can bring the wife and show my husband how to fish. He thinks they are supposed to just jump on the hook as soon as you put it in the water!! Has the patience of a Badger!

Well that sounds like my wife! She really liked the Striper Run at Ronoake lots of fast action. Or when the Ctappie are biting one after another but normal fishing she'd rather have a book to read.

Yup, that's my husband too! If the fish aren't on the hook fast enough, he's reading a book! lol

I'm one that doesn't believe there are accidents, because everything that happens has a moving cause and more times than not, (including your incident), it's just plain ole negligence. I would see to it that he is ticketed for negligent operation of a vessel and causing a dangerous crash and damage to your property.

After 9 days of trying to get information from his agent, they stopped communicating all together with us. We eventually had to go through our insurance company to get a claim going. We started that last Monday and by Wednesday at 12 the adjuster had already looked at the boat and was working on acquiring the accident report. Our agent is now activating the subrogation team and they will take care of the legal stuff.
As far as the charges, I don't know what they charged him with. I just know that the officer informed us that the guy did have charges against him for the accident.

Glad to hear you're o.k.. You definitely have to keep your eye on the other guy, because sometimes they're not paying attention.
    Be safe & good fishing.
