Glad to hear that everyone made it out ok and hope that other guy has good insurance. I’d also recommend that you relay your tale to Yeti. Their cooler saved your dog’s life! They may send you some free stuff if you let them use that story in their advertisements.

ALWAYS have your head on a swivel!! I keep my whistle on my shirt collar and I have 3 truck horns my commercial driving partner gave me to put on the boat!! If I can't see the Captain of the other boat, he will definitely hear ME!! I think that will make him stand up or either lose some bodily functions!!!

I'd send YETI this story, who knows maybe something will come out of it, even if it's SWAG it's something.

I should've updated the interaction with Yeti. My wife sent the story to Yeti with the pictures of the cooler. By the next day we had a responses from the their head of R&D, their director of marketing as well as the customer service manager. They are giving us 40% off and free shipping on any Yeti product and they are sending matching Seadek pads for the top of my current cooler (to cover up the damage) and the other cooler that we will order from them.
