    Default Harris fishing

It's Sunday April 5th. The boat ramp was open Friday. Crosspoint was open.

Anyone having any luck there? I want to go this afternoon, though I'm not sure I can get minnows.

We caught some a week ago, but the spawn is about over. Number of fish we caught were spawned out and just hanging around. We caught two that had not spawned, but they were about to bust. They will be in their typical summer hangouts soon.

I went to Harris yesterday, started up left side from crosspoint 1st couple of coves on the left, water temp. was 62-63° I fished jigs- minnows on slip bobber2-3-4 ft. Not a nibble. 2nd cove bass were fanning beds in tall grass. Moved up to cooling tower, water was 65-66°, I tried slip bobber at different depths nothing. Bubby was throwing a 1/4 oz. Beetle spin with 2 in. curly tail , white grub. He caught 2 crappie about 1 1/2 lbs. Females that had spawned. I tried tight lining in 10-12' of water at different depths nothing. So I started bass fishing a worm and spinner bait , throwing to bank for 3 hrs. Nothing, I gave up.
Got back to ramp about 4:30 pm it was a circus.
