I caught 50 yesterday in 2.5 hours in 3-6' FOW out at Jordan in the afternoon. Some shallow, some staging and getting ready.

Crappie4life, I had to work today. Just got off phone with fishing buddy he's at Jordan now. He didn't tell me or I'd have told him Poe's Ridge was closed. He said went there and was closed so he put in at Robeson Creek ramp at 11:30. Said he's catching crappie in 4-6 fow, casting roadrunner and cicada.
Said water temp. in Robeson Creek 67-64° the same at stinking creek.

    Ebeneezer
Caught limit on a windy day in a cove 3-6 FOW water was 62 degrees. I used spider rigging in the morning with 3/4 weights and 1/16th jig head pink/red or
Black and green bobby garlands jigs. I caught 8 or so missed just as many in about 2 hrs. I switched to long lining with 1/32 ounce jigs red or black at .6-.8 mph. I tipped them with minnows and simply wore the crappies out. Caught 45 kept 20 eaters.

I realized that I had caught quite a few black crappies so if/when I go back I can where them out with just maybe 2 poles and corks fishing 1 ft deep. They are in the 2-3 fow if not on the banks this weekend.

Man I had a good day. I hope they don't shut down the lakes
Thanks Mbsbeek thanked you for this post
