Default Schools out so time to hit high rock

They have cancelled school for the next few weeks so I hope to hit the crappie pretty good. Going to try high rock in the morning so will report tomorrow night. If anyone tried it this weekend and found them, what depth water were they in. Got to be moving up creeks some by now.

Saturday took a break from Catching bass for about hour. Casting jigs on the bank in crane creek. Caught 10 or so crappie. Most small. Two around ten inches and a handful of small white bass. Water temp pushing 60 in certain places.

I fished Flat Swamp Saturday. Caught about a dozen on one dock. Pretty small with a couple of exceptions. BG Blue Ice. Wouldn’t say I found them. Water still pretty stained. I need to fish more I think.

I also went Saturday in flat swamp around Buck's branch not much happening up there had 3 keepers in the range of 1.25lb to 1.5lb. And probably 10 Tater chips. All the small ones did come off of minnows where the larger ones came from jigs. I have a feeling you're larger fish or up the lake at this time. I could not fit under the train trestles so I could not venture out.

It was slow today. Caught a few pulling jigs. Two nice 1.5 lbs. they came in about 21 fow pulling close to bottom. Had to pull two 1/8 oz slow at about .8 to .9 to get deep enough. tried minnows in 4 to 6 fow around laps and did nothing. Also pulled cranks for about an hour with no takers. Two guys had several that they caught casting jigs in 12 fow. Said they caught them all in two little spots. Females were about to bust. Water temp up to 58 or 59 when I left. I think they will definitely move in later this week. With temps near 80 water temps will be over 65 soon.
