Thread: Badin Saturday

Tough day on Badin Saturday. Windy, very cold, very muddy and a major cold front just moved through. Fished hard from about 10:30 until 3 pulling jigs. Ended up with 5 keepers but my brother did catch his pb at 2.06 lbs. I also hung one of those diving birds which made for a quick fight and even quicker release. One of my rods started bouncing, my brother said you got one, I set the hook and the bird came up fighting.

You got “fowled”!! 2+lb crappie can make any day a good day. I’ve had birds get on my line while lightlining pogies and mullet for Spanish. Even had a pelican fly into line last fall in surf, wasn’t hooked, just wrapped.
