Was headed to Tuckertown, stopped in Denton for minnows. Guy there suggested Badin instead due to flow, mud and debris. Good advice, I’m learning the Yadkin chain so this advice was much appreciated. We put in off Shoreline Dr, marked fish not far from ramp and started with slip floats and tightlined minnows. Caught some white bass/perch. Moved around and found some crappie, nothing big but the target species. They were 20-25 in 28-35 fow. What a nice day to be out, liked the area we were in, will be back.

Talk about a kick in the ding-ding!! I have a dog, wanna kick him? Say somn bad about my Momma? Dang, salt in an open wound......That’s all sarcasm, nice haul there. I think we should have been doing more trolling and less “anchoring” over marked fish. Planning a day next week to go back, if Jordan is still high we’ll be back at Badin, trolling this time!!

When I fished the tournament there two weeks ago, all the Crappie I caught were in 12-15 FOW and 7' down. Once I figured the pattern out I caught fish right up to weigh in time and left them biting.
