    What is the shallowest water you guys have caught crappie in, with a water temp of 50 or less?

    Yep, four feet is about as shallow as I've seen when it's below 50˚

    On more than one occasion I've caught em with my bait just hanging a foot or two deep off the side of the boat while handling one I just unhooked. Rare, but it can happen if you're on a school. But as a rule, like everyone else says; 4 or 5 ft deep in 10 fow is commonplace.
