Default White perch are stacked up thick on lake hickory

Total tally in the box was 110, with countless others released. Disgusting how many fish we marked on the sonar. Go out and get you some.

Looks like a great day. What were you using, bait or jigs?
    I assume a double rig?

Live bait, louisiana swamp worms fished on a bottom rig with three size 6 gold eagle claw aberdeens. It would barely touch the bottom and you'd get a strike instantly. Lots of double and triple headers were brought onboard. Dropped live crappie minnows on the same school of perch and got a lukewarm response from the fish.

It takes two hours to clean 100+ even with the help of an electric fillet knife. I did give 50 of these to my friend Kevin, who was also on the boat helping us catch them. We threw back many more than we kept. They sure were frenzied and yes worms are what they love. I won't be carrying crappie minnows for perch anymore, no need.

Thats a lot of catfish bait. I use worms on them as well. A lot cheaper, easier, and catch more. I still seem to catch more of the really big on minnows or jigging, but they tear worms up.
