    Default High Rock this weekend.

Since the weather is going to be rough where the speckled trout are then I figured we would stay around here and maybe take in the dirt track race this weekend. I知 thinking of going to High Rock Saturday or Sunday..... Would love if someone could give a new guy some advice about where to fish right now and what do you think the cold front will do to the bite. Not new to fishing but fairly new to targeting crappie the way that you guys do. I知 taking my wife and always love to be able to put her on fish. Thanks in advance for any info. I will gladly send the ones that help us GPS #s if we get on fish.

You prefer trolling or shooting docks or fishing brush

I prefer to find them around docks and brush if possible. Wouldn稚 even know where to begin with the trolling method. However, I知 a saltwater fisherman and have trolled forever so not above trying. I知 guessing small lipped crank baits and stagger spread at different shot lengths until you find the right depth and work it????

I troll with jigs and crankbaits. Use crankbaits that will get down a little. I usually pull bandits 200 or 300 depending on depth of crappie. I can pull from about 8 feet down to 16 feet depending on amount of line out. I pull jigs about 1 mph and crankbaits 1.5 or 1.6 mph.

Get you a couple of buckets Clod. That is what I did with my toon. Slowed me down to 1.6 to 1.7 from 2.4 and it made a big difference in numbers.
