    Default Quick Battery Survey

So I have been running a 12v Minn Kota I-pilot,55#, on a 29 series Everstart. It now has a dead cell, got 4 years out of it. I never ran it dead while fishing. Does anyone run same motor on a 24 or 27 series, does it go all day? Just seeing about down sizing a tad maybe. Most of my use is trolling jigs 0.6-1.2 mph.

    Thanks for any info.

I've used the Everstart Maxx on the same trolling motor and the same technique. The last two Everstart Maxx batteries lasted 7 and 8 years respectively and they push my boat almost all day unless it's really windy. I also have run it about the same with a Group 27 Optima Blue Top. My boat is a 17' Whaler. Not the lightest but still not too awful heavy. I charge batteries right after I get home from a trip.

I run 2 group 27 hooked together on my 55 Terrova. I have run just one 27 all day spider rigging all day with no problem. WM batteries.

Just got new battery in and hooked up. After reading replies made since not downsizing. Took Gobbler suggestion, went with a Group 31. It’s not a Deka, got one from Battery Tree in Kernersville. Couple friends have had good luck with their batteries recently so giving them a shot. Thanks for the replies. Hoping to give it a whirl tomorrow, be under the I-73 bridge on Randleman if nothing pops up tween now and 0600.

    Thanks again.

Deka definitely the choice. You can search on line but Deka makes a lot of batteries for other companies. The Duracell sold at Sams is a Deka. The NAPA battery is a Deka. I was told they are same quality and I use them with no issues. Check behind me but just my experience.
