I've never fished Potts, swearing, nor Abbott's creek on the east side of the tracks. Thinking about trying one of those. May not be able to get under the bridge Abbott's so that may make my choice a little easier.

This will be my first winter fishing high Rock. Is there usually a winter draw down on that lake and if so about how much. That may also determine if I spend any time learning my way around Abbott's creek. If it's going to be closed off to me due to the low bridges for 3/4 of the year I don't see much sense in it.

Yesterday at lunch went home and water had came up 7 inches or so and was dirty...5pm they had opened gates since noon and water dropped 4 to 5 inches and cleared up nicely... managed a dozen 9 to 11 inch fish off my brushes in about 30 mins...

Lived on high rock my whole life and associate Abbott's creek with warmer weather crappie fishing shooting docks and fishing brush piles... all my winter crappie fishing is normally on main lake from summer place down to panther point and all in flat swamp

I was able to go today. Stayed mostly in the main lake between Waterford point and Abbott's creek. Kept 26. Had a cousin with me and their freezer is low. Most of the fish were caught on cranks and about 10 nice fish off brush. Water temps were 67 in this area and a little bit of debris from the wind and rains.
