No doubt good luck guys. Would love to see some boys from the Tar Heel state win that tournament.

Many of you have probably read where Wally Marshall has created the first Crappie Expo this week in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Wally has invited 100 of the top crappie teams in the country for the inaugural event. The payout is $100,000 and a huge number of vendors onsite with lots of food and entertainment.
Freddie Sinclair and his son Blake were invited to fish in the tournament. I talked to Freddie yesterday and they were out pre-fishing the lake. Do any of you know if any other NC teams are participating?
The weigh-ins may be broadcast over the Internet. I will keep checking the website to see if it will be online.
Good luck Freddie and Blake!!!

The way I understand it, Wally just picked the guys who have ‘put in their time’ ie. folks that have been fishing tournaments for years. Source: crappie connection podcast (he was a guest)
The expo sounds awesome, .....

It's all good, nothing to see here. And yep, the expo gonna be great. Make sure to stop by the Crappie.com booth for a free decal, and a free "Freedom is not Free" bumper sticker.
Bobcat is almost a NC guy--just barely across the line. Will be cheering him on as well.
Watched the weigh-in online. They started with 100 teams and will be cut to 50 tomorrow. The cut-off weight was .79!!!! Talk about a touch day on the lake. Looks like Freddie and Blake made the next round.

Wow, very challenging.
Saw the weigh-in list--60 out of 100 teams did not weigh in a single fish. That's tough fishing.
