Thread: Jordan tonight

Longline on Friday afternoon at Jordan . Only 10 crappie with no keepers. All around 9”.

Not sure what I did but I deleted my previous message trying to edit it. So, the wife and I hit Jordan around 630ish this evening. Wind was light surface temp was 89 degrees. We were set up and fishing by 715ish in 27fow tight lining minows and double rigs with minnows and jigs on the bottom. We had 2 green led underwater lights about 2ft from the surface.

First fish was a keeper around 11 inches. Then we caught another nice one, and another, and the biggest of the night was 14 inches. Caught most of the nice fish before 9:30. Also, almost all the nice fish were caught on minnows. After 9:30 the small white bass, perch, and smaller crappie moved in on us. Caught a channel cat and a kepper crappie to end the night. We caught all our fish suspended in 8-15ish fow.

All in all it was a great night on the water with the wife. I'll try and post pic tomorrow before I clean them. Good luck everybody.

Good job on those fish! Have you or anybody else tried fishing under the 64 bridge? It's been a while since I've night fished at Jordan but it seemed like 64 bridge had more keepers but other bridges and the standing timber(what's left of it) produced more fish

Thanks! I have not tried the 64 bridge the boat traffic was pretty bad when we drove over that evening. I'll say this, Ebenezer was closed for some reason so we drove past that, and we didn't fish the 64 bridge because of boat traffic, but we did fish a bridge. We are actually going back again tonight so hopefully we can get on some again.
