Water is fine. No rain upstream of Jordan. Drove over Haw River yesterday and it is low and slow.
Does anyone know if the Haw side of Jordan is muddy? Im looking at going tomorrow morning.

On the lake early Sunday morning and it was beautiful. Good brain food. Pulled cranks all morning and had a good catch of mixed bag. I was surprised at how well the blue cats reacted to the cranks. I caught some crappie but did not really find them gathered up anywhere. Lots of small hybrids (looked like strippers to me with no broken lines) which surprised me cause I had been told they would not be stocked back in Jordan. wind got up about 10:30 and combined with summer boating the conditions got bad for fishing. overall it was a good day and I had a great time.

Glad you found some and enjoyed the morning on the water. A few years ago when the state wildlife biologist met with us about the declining crappie population (shad kill from cold), a question was asked about the blue catfish on Jordan. She said they are actually not blue's, but are in the white catfish family with a grayish-blue tint. She said there are no blue cats and they want to keep it that way. If anyone ever hears of some catfish guys releasing blue's into Jordan, please alert the Wildlife department immediately.

The way blues and flatheads have been moving in NC (often with help from folks that like to target them) they could well be in there by now.
