I pull bandits usually 300 but sometimes 200 depending on bait depth. I usually pull in the deeper creeks like crane and flat swamp. Orange, pink, black and chrome are my favorite colors. You will catch white and black on high rock.

My freezer is full and I always throw back every white crappie I catch anyway.

Why do you throw all your white crappies back?

Went to the rock today. Kept 15 crappie. All black and over 10 inches. Lost 2 very nice ones right as I got them to the boat. Keep 2 largemouths. Threw back a few small ones, a couple cats, and 3 nice white crappie. Dawgg our lakes are full of black crappie and I like pulling cranks so I want more white crappie. I guess it's my way to conserve. When I fish tillery i only keep fish between 10-12". Anything above or below goes back. Again, just my way of trying to be a good sportsman.

Depends on what you're trolling with. If using jigs then your speed should be around 0.6-1.0.....If trolling cranks your speed should be 1.5-2.0..... Those are your general speeds. Sometimes we run a little slower or a little faster but if you start at those speeds you will be well on your way.
