It's a lot of trouble but if you would scale those fish and then fillet them the taste of the fish is so much better . If I keep 7 to 10 fish that's how I do it, many more than that takes to much time

I do a lot the old fashion way. Just scale gut and fry whole but the daughter likes the filets. She hates bones. Did these in the kitchen so scaling was not an option. Lol. Wife hates cleaning scales off the window. Headed back this morning let you know how I do.

I went Tuesday night. It was very slow. Marked massive school of catfish. Mostly less than 10 lbs., based on my bites. Had 3 bites. Caught 2 blues under 10 lbs. The other bite was a big fish. Bit on the rear left rod and pulled the back of the boat sideways about 8 feet I guess. Pulled hard enough to drag the rear anchor a foot or two. That anchor weighs close to 20 lbs. The hook turned and imbedded back into the bait so the bait pulled out of fishes mouth. 3 bites in 5 hours of fishing. Will try again after the lake settles from the holiday activities.
