    Default Saturday 4/20

What are your thoughts on Friday’s forecasted rain and front on Saturday morning fishing?
With mixed reports of shallow and pulled back fish. Where do you plan to start?
I’m thinking I may go to Ttown.

The weather is hard on the fishermen but not necessarily on the fish. All fish do not spawn at the same time. Some are layed out and others are not. Some will be shallow and some will be deep. Just have to be versatile this time of year. Tuckertown may be muddy Saturday morning if we get much rain. I would go anyway at least you will be fishing!

Last week after a storm that dumped 2+ inches in no time i thought for sure i was wasting my time and going after it passed....WRONG. caught 60+ with virtually all over 10 inches.

Long story short you never know til you go. The fish are on their beds and not moving. The key is covering water and finding them! So go out there!

I agree I’ve got it in my head to go regardless of the weather hopefully they will be willing to nibble!
Like I’ve said on here before this is my first year trying to concentrate (or even try for) crappie. I know this is the time of year to be on the water and see what happens.
    Good luck guys.

Not a bad day to be on the lake but things sure were dirty.
Started shallow, had something pull the hook but no other bites. Marked some in a creek mouth but they didn’t care to bite what we offered.
Ended up going way up Riles creek to find cleaner water but didn’t have luck with shallow jigs in there either.
Sat back and watched others trolling in open water and never saw a fish lifted.
Oh well the sun was out and had my dad with me. Blessed to be on the water.
I would be interested to know if others caught any on Tuckertown today.
    Jigs and minnows were tried.
    Water temp 62-65.

Blueangler, I fished Tuckertown yesterday in Riles and fought the wind and muddy water with little success. We caught 10 crappie in the 10”-11” range all down bout 8-10’ right where the creek forks. Got outta dodge when it started spitting rain.

Well Gold Hill Hookers were there Saturday and 9.05 won with Big Fish 2.57 so Ttown is good.

Thanks for the feedback. I know the lake is good, that’s why I keep going there to learn.
