Default BigEyeCrappieman Falls Lake Event 3/16/19

    The BigEyeCrappieman March 16 Event
    Falls Lake NC Results
The 2019 BigEyeCrappieman Events this year have been hit hard with extreme weather conditions. This past Saturday at Falls Lake NC wasn’t like the last two events. However it was tough none the less. High cold water and a north wind delivered a miserable day of fish catching. But towards the end of the day the Crappie started opening their mouths. 20 Teams showed up to try their hand at catching the Elusive BigEyeCrappie. But it was the Down East Team of Jack Sandlin and Dean Atkinson who smoked the field with 7 Fish tipping the Scales at 13.075 Pounds. They also had the Big Fish of the Day with a 1.945 lb Beauty. Finishing in 2nd Place was the father and son team of Freddie and Blake Sinclair who had 7 fish weighing in at 10.205 lbs. Rounding out the top 3 finishing 3rd was the Team of Marc Johnson, Stephen Phillips and Grant Hollowell with 7 fish weighing 8.595 lbs. The day started out with dark skies and a cold wind but by the end of the day it almost slicked off and was almost warm. At the weigh in we discussed the possible Classic locations. During our devotion time we read from Gods Word in Matthew 8 about Jesus when He spoke and the wind and waves obeyed him. We talked about how many of us especially that morning would have loved to been able to control the weather. We talked about how God was in Control and we couldn’t make sun come up or go down any faster. We must be content with what the Lord gives us each day. It was all in His hands. I asked the question if anyone there had ever taught anyone to drive a car. I asked what was the first thing they taught them. I explained the first thing I taught a person was where the brake peddle was. That before we can go we must first learn to stop. Before we can be used by God We must first learn to stop ourselves. Meaning stop trying to be self serving and learn to put others first. We must humble ourselves. Lifting others up. We talked about real Joy being Jesus First, others second and ourselves last.

On break at work reading random posts. Glory to God for a post like this. Fishing is great but nowhere in comparison to our Lord. I love the truth of having to be humble. I love the truth of God's total control. This is a great way to begin a workday reading something like this. God Bless

Good to see info regarding the big eye crappie tournaments being posted again on C.com. For those of us that do not do face book, we have been in the dark about these down to earth, fun and fellowship and christian orientated tourneys. THANKS
