Default any seven lake/pinehurst region anglers?

Hi! I am new to the area and I usually just fish my local ponds in pinehurst. Lots of bass/pickerel, not one crappie though. I went to thagards lake for crappie the other day, and somehow the lake require a whispering pines boat permit that cost 30. Ridiculous lol.
Anyway, if anyone around the area knows the waters well and would kindly point the way, I would very much appreciate it. I have a inflatable dingy I carry around to try different waters, if anyone want to go fishing together, can hit me up. :D

Closest that I know of is Jordan or Harris which is a nice little drive. I'm over on the Sanford side and live in Carolina Lakes. I use to go to Jordan and Harris (50 min drive) a lot because I listened to an "old guy" who said there weren't any crappie in our lake. Then one-day, I was fishing off my dock and caught a crappie. I just smiled and the rest is history.... spider riggin and jigginany seven lake/pinehurst region anglers?. Rush congrats on your catch. The smile on your son face tells it all. Love to see kids fishing.

Thank you sir. I started him at 3 and 5 years later, he wants to go fishing nevery single day. He won't even let me out of his sight once he knows I'm planning to launch the boat.
