Its because not everyone wants to report! Or having a hard time catching! Or staying quiet with a big tournament coming up. 😎😁

I dont mind telling.....its just fishing....some people make a big deal out of it....

CountryBoy, as you know I’m mainly a Striper fisherman the bite has been steady but no one has found the school that has the bigger Hybrids. I’m talking 5.5 to 6.5 hybrids like we did last year at this time. The bite has been in the better water (not muddy) that has been below heavy mud line which Saturday was at Hager’s Creek Landing on the Main Channel . We caught four short fish Sunday in that area. This time last year there was a small fleet of boats on Norman catching plenty.

We fished Sharon Harris Sunday afternoon. Felt like spring time! Bad thing was every jet ski and pleasure boat in Raleigh was out there. I bet we lost a ton of fish because they were biting very light and the boat was rocking from all the wakes. That being said, we started too deep but found them later on in 22-24 ft of water on the bottom. Came home with 15 to clean for supper. I have had worse trips in January.

I did have some really nice marks on the graph Sunday that I figured were perch. At the time I didn't want to stop trolling to toss a jig. This weekend I'll be on Wylie chasing cats and now I wish I would've stopped to catch a few of those perch for bait.
