As the old saying goes... I’m sure your bad day of fishing beat my good day working!
Was wishing I was there when I went to lunch today. Maybe you’ll hit’m next time.

Nice day to be on the water, could,nt ask for better weather than today, went up and down Abbotts Creek and the only thing hittin was little blue gills and tiny white bass. The water was muddy and full of tree branches and leaves. The fishin was,nt the best but it was a beautiful day to be on the water.

Been a while since the Rock was surrendering a lot of fish. This rain and more rain is getting tough. Now it is going to drop down to below freezing and snow over the weekend. lol. Can't catch a break this winter. I think I am going down and pull the pontoon out tomorrow and drag it home. I have David of Santee rod holders making me a set-up for the front of the pontoon so I can do a little spider rigging. It is the only thing I can't do right now out of it. Going to add those and put it under the shed until we get a decent weekend.
I’m going this Saturday (I think) and hope to find a little clear water. I’ve caught some nice fish the last few weeks. I’ll report the outcome either way. Cube is pulling water but any little bit of rain just fills it back up. We can all complain next year about too little rain/water, but bet we all still fish when we can.

One of my co-workers drives hwy 8 daily and said the other day it was very full. The little island at Abbotts was barely visible.
Yup, it’s only .5 feet below full pool. Normal for this time of year is 7 feet below.

It would be nice if they let High Rock down a couple feet. They haven't let much out after the last hurricane and I think that has really messed up fishing this fall with muddy water
Seen photos that u thunk are showing a bunch of fish coming out of the tail race below dam
There had been over 20 inches of rain in the Yadkin valley since September 1 and with the floods down stream in the lower Pee Dee it’s been tough to pull enough water but think they are trying. Take a look at the Cube Power site. Good info.
