Default Blind squirrel strikes again 11/4 on High Rock

Had a chance to get out yesterday but didn't get to ramp until 330. Went straight to a point with rocks I frequently fish pretty far in a creek. Water temp was 59 and depth was 7.5ft. Caught a handful of white perch, one white bass that measured a tick over 16", a few good thick crappie in the 11.5" range and one good one, right at 17" and 2lb 13ozs. With all the mud, debris and wind lately, I was hoping for the best but expecting the worst. At 5:30 it was dark enough I had to run for the ramp. All caught on a chartreuse BG and a splash of slab-sauce. They were slamming the jig. Turned the big one loose to give someone else a thrill. We are blessed!!

That’s a big fish for sure. Well done. Keep that squirrel fed.

Plain old BG on a 1/16 jighead. Water still stained/muddy so had to show 'em something they could see. Beat the rocks pretty good with this one.

Outstanding fish!! Don't have to be many... as long as the ones you get are good uns.
Thanks for sharing and for turning the big one loose for someone else to enjoy.
