Good report and good fish. Thanks for sharing.
In case you all are wondering the fish will still bite in this muddy water. I had a friend fly in from New Mexico last Thursday to attend his mother in laws 90th Birthday and he really wanted to go fishing, I thought what the heck if nothing else we could go out and have a few laughs. Much to my surprise we ended up catching 38 fish between 8:00 to 2:00. Way more then I ever expected. It was a mixed bag of crappie, catfish, brim and a white perch. We ended up keeping 14 crappie for the grease all over 10”. The water looked like coffee with a lot of cream in it. The lake was Randleman, water temp was 78 degrees and we long lined trolled single 1/16 oz. jugs with darker colors working best. Although he did catch the 3 biggest with a lemon merengue. If you get a chance get after them but watch out for the floating logs . Attachment 316860

Nice fish! I have no doubt there are plenty of logs floating and colored water but the picture you posted doesn't look bad to me.
They will bite in muddy water as they are going to feed when they are Hungary. The problem is all the trash floating that makes it so hard to fish. Hopefully by next Friday the trash will be gone and at least we can fish.
