The Deep doesn't have to be very high to back water up to the dam if there is some flow coming out. In this case with the gates closed, the Deep pushed LOTS of water up to the base of the dam. Saw a photo with water up to the top of the tailrace wall if you've seen it before.

Does anyone know when they plan on opening some gates to get lake level back close to full?At 16 foot above full I would imagine it is most of the way to the big oak.Pictures of that would be interesting.

Guys I know they're keeping the water up at Jordan but every drop they can keep out of the SE river basins is greatly appreciated down here.

I was around Jordan scouting for deer with a friend from Georgia yesterday. Didn't go by the dam, but they're definitely holding water back. All the ramps are under water and water is up in the parking lots at Farrington Point. The Haw is dropping & not running nearly as fiercely as it was last week.
