Best crappie lake around for numbers. Several trips over the past year we have caught over 100. Size is getting better as well. Most are keepable now with a few nice ones mixed in. Let us know when y’all come down and we will help anyway we can.

Gobbler, Nope not hurting for fish. Tennessee river chain has got loads and loads of fish. Just wanted to go on a trip with the members of the club somewhere new. A mini vacation for just the guys you know. Looks like we will have 12 to 15 guys that will be going. Its a new adventure to a new body of water. We fish 6 different East TN Lakes in our club schedule each year and we enjoy learning new bodies of water.

We are going to try and make our members trip a yearly event where we can branch out and fish other lakes. No competitiveness just clean fun fishing. The lodging is paid for by the club and all members are welcome to attend. High Rock is a lake that we have heard a lot about and no one has ever fished it so we thought what the heck lets go...

I don't blame you for traveling. Sometime , a long trip will clear your mind , as well as open up new fishing opportunities. The longest I've driven is 4 hours , but have been thinking of trying Michigan for the salmon. I drive to Fontana often , and out of 50 odd trips , I have only caught one crappie. How do you generally fish for them there. I was at the marina , and dropped a minnow 12' down. I caught one crappie , a thick 13 incher , and no more. I wasn't specifically targeting them , but every bit of advice helps. Locally , I use minnows and set them 5 to 10' under a bobber.
