I feel your pain, and don’t know the answer.
I can usually find them, making them bite is a whole other story.
One fish off of that pile.

I imagine Travis that you could try different depths, presentation, speed, glow grubs, live bait, scent in Shad or garlic, rattles, colors. I’m no expert but the 15 minute rule may also apply. That being give the fish 15 minutes to bite before changing something or location

Just a suggestion but I would consider changing the settings on your lowrance to get a better idea of exactly what you are seeing. For one, do yourself a favor and turn Fish ID off. Fish ID is very innacurate and misleading. Also, I set my colorline between 60 and 80 most times and that seems to be a good range. There may be a load of fish there that your unit was marking but getting it dialed in the most you can will make a big difference as well. You will learn over time to distinguish between large bait (gizzard shad) schools, small schools of threadfin shad and even know exactly what schools of crappie and other game fish look like by the way they orient themselves in the water column.

I keep fish ID setting low also. I don't pay much attention to fish finder but is nice to see something before I set up!

Hey I'm a professional at marking fish with no bites. Was on Harris Sunday kept finding good looking groups of fish on my fish finder with maybe just a half-hearted nibble here and there. Finally chucked out my cast net just to see what the heck was out there - yep it was crappie uninterested in my offerings

Turn fish id OFF. Looks like large schools of bait to me that’s why no takers. With fish id off you can see the difference. Just my experience. Hope this helps.
