    Default High Rock update

Looking for updates on High Rock? How dingy and are fish being caught that haven't spawned yet? First post and new to the group.

The lake usually gets "fishable" 3 or 4 days after the "mud" comes down the lake and there is generally always some areas you can fish even then. Especially the Flat Swamp area. Abbotts didn't get hit that hard this time so I'd say that Abbotts Creek is fine. If you can't get under the bridges, you can put in at Buddle Creek to fish Abbotts.

The water temps are pushing them hard. I'd say you'll still find some spawning but it might it be slim....

Black Crappie generally tend to go later. Which I personally prefer to catch Black Crappie. I just love how dark they get when they spawn.

Then again, in my opinion, you can just about find crappie year round on shallow to deep brush.

    Just my penny

Its about half and half on spawned fish. We are still catching some good fish shallow .I have caught several striper fishing also. About a week or 2 spawn will be closing shop. I think. Main lake looked clear today. Tight lines
