    Default Tillery Last Week/Weekend

Fished everyday, off and on, caught 15. Nice fish, most in the 1#-1.5# range. Little deep for me early in the week, also cold. After wednesday it turned on pretty good. Thursday I pulled a 2#'er out shallow, had to be a foot of water. Thursday and Friday were really good, then when it hit the weekend they just vanished, bass and catfish. Lots of people out during the week, big tournament saturday as well. Didn't catch the weigh in, I wanted to take advantage of the lake being somewhat less busy, should have went though. Anybody fish that one?

I fished sat. and only had 2 short fish. lots of tournament fishers around. I am just getting started crappie fishing and could use some advice if you have any. I am starting to get discouraged.

The best advice you could have gotten was to watch those tourney fishers. You could pick up more like that in a day than you could by trial and error in a couple months. The folks on here will help you all they can,but it's best to go with someone that knows somehting about where you're fishing and what methods works best,i.e. trolling, tightlining, casting jigs or bobber fishing to mention a few.I'm sure you know when the water gets as warm as it's getting now to start shallow and work you're way out.

Thats all I did, except I started deep then went shallow. Bite wasn't consistent, then again neither was the weather. If your easily discouraged crappie fishin might not be for you. Its night and day fishing on tillery for me, could be on fire one second then in the time it takes to grab a beer out of the cooler nothing will bite. Best advice I can give, wait til it gets warm. Get a few dozen minnows, a few dozen beers, pick a good spot and let it rip. Throw a jig in the down time, you'll run across a few here and there. You get out what you put in, so make a day of it.

no structure just really shallow water. Definately moved out a bit though last weekend, not much going on out there at all. big shock with the weather got them deep again.

you that is exactly what they did on Falls it seemed. Was catching them purdy good and when the cold came in the fish went into lockjaw mode or left or something. This warm weather should get them going good though.
