    Default Jordan

Taking a co worker of mine out to Jordan this weekend and hoping to get a few, I haven't been out in a couple weeks. Would anyone mind dropping some hints as to where they might be finding some fish? This this weather being up and down I am pretty uncertain on where to start.

I think this weather has them messed up. Water temp has dropped some. I fished about 6 hrs Sunday and only managed to catch 4 crappie I fished the "s" turns, 64, Farrington bridge. Caught the 4 at Farrington. I by no means am a veteran and someone else may have better advice but I would start fishing at Farrington Bridge.

Thanks Chad I might have to do just that, and with the weather being so inconsistent I was thinking exactly what you confirmed was going to happen. I was debating on switching all my minnow rigs over to jigs for shallower water but now I am thinking I should off for now.

There has been several big fish caught up in some of the creeks but they are few and far between. I think any day could be the day but I can't get back till mon.

I went for a very short time yesterday after work. Caught one right on the bank and two others in 21' of water, all three on jigs. Had a handful of other short strikes shallow but they just weren't there. They weren't really stacked up deep either, just some scattered fish. Water temps were high 50's in late afternoon.

Well I hate to say it but Jordan lake got the best of me yesterday, we landed one fish at the farrington bridge and the rest of the time was spent joking and laughing with my buddy. The fishing could have been better but it was a good trip overall.

My son and I made it back out to Jordan yesterday afternoon as well. It was a COLD and breezy afternoon on the water! We managed 17 crappie with several of the smallest crappie I have ever seen. Most were way out in the mouths of the creeks in 20'+ water but right at dark found a single small shallow cove where we caught half the crappie in about 15 minutes... they were extremely shallow in this particular cove. I was tempted to put the glow sticks on the floats and hang out for awhile but the wife was blowing up the phone by that point... again proving the theory that the better the fishing, the higher the probability that your family members need you to leave asap!

Does anyone else have experience with crappie moving shallow in early spring right at dusk? I've had this happen a few times before in this particular cove when water is still in the high 50's. They were not shallow (or at least biting shallow) anywhere earlier in the day.
