    Default Lake Wylie Crappie Fishing

    Hi,

I am visiting from Florida and want to take my dad out crappie fishing on Lake Wylie but we don't have any clue where to find some crappie spots. We are putting in tomorrow Tuesday Feb 21 at the Belmont boat landing. We only have NC fishing license so we want to stay in NC. Any information you can share would be greatly appreciated.

You will really be better off getting a SC license as the best fishing this time of year is lower lake which is clearly South Carolina. Check and post on the South Carolina forum since most Wylie reports will be there. Good Luck!

Lots of excellent fishing in Catawba creek, S. Fork river and a lot of the cuts uplake. bigger fish in the NC side because of less pressure in my opinion. late response but let us know how you ended up doing.
Full day 1/2 day or evening Striper/Crappie fishing trips available at a very affordable price for
Lake Norman, Badin, Wateree, High Rock.
Individual maker of the heavy duty "hybrid" A-rig Trolls just like an umbrella rig, Guaranteed to put fish in the boat

Be careful, mainlake side of Catawba creek is SC, past the bridge is NC though.
