Well it finally got nice enough to pick up the poles for me. After a few months chasing the ducks and a months rest I'm back out there catching some fish. That being said, I'll drop off alittle report.

Fished this weekend around the house since I saw quite a few folks passing by my dock. Didn't find any fish til saturday afternoon. I'm not a horrible fisherman, just a broke student, so I dont have a depth finder, trolling motor etc. So I viewed this a monumental achievement, just finding the fish that is. Anyways, caught three slabs between 4 and 5pm saturday afternoon. 20-25ft of water, 6-8ft deep, minnow under cork. Sunday was bad, both the fishing and the weather. Braved the monsoon and my buddy caught the only nice fish of the day. Slap full of eggs, so I dont think it'll be long. Also caught some coontails, bluegill and lots of largemouth shallow. Not hitting grubs at all, believe me I tried. Lots of guys fishing with them though, I just cant see grubs working as cold as it is. I havent even seen any on the ground, I'm a turfgrass guy I pay attention to these things.

Take it for what its worth, hope to see ya out there. Im out all next week so hopefully I can start filling the freezer.
