    Default Spot on Rhodhiss 5/09

Hit the Hiss Wednesday after the rain moved thru, and hit on some crappie . Tried one of my bamboo condos and they have moved in finally!! Fished for about 4 hours and brought home 14 keepers, I ain't sayin they all were slabs but a good mess for off the bone eatin. I was catchin em in 20 ft water about 12-15ft down, minnows were their bait of choice, but did catch some bigger ones on jigs. It has been a dry spell for me and it sure was fun to pull some into the boat. Well it looks like it is about time for a nite stalk this weekend, I know the first place I am gonna set up on, and hope for the slabs to be drawn to the lite. Well for now it is time to do some cleaning and go put the remains of the crappie in the ground for fertilizer for my watermelon and cantelope patch!!
Difference between day and night: Day= one rod, one jig/Night= Many rods & a bucket full of minners

Very nice report Spot. I appreciate reading a good report when I can't seem to get near the water myself because of work.
Thanks for sharing your day with us.
