God must like Dumb people for he made a lot of them
I have a Terrova w/IP but that is because I wanted to retain the option of using the foot pedal with IP. You cannot keep the foot pedal with a PD/IP combo unless you get cane pole to fix that for you. some say the Terrova is a better TM (heavier duty) but I can't say as I've never had a PD. I like my combo for longlining and pullin CB's
GO BIG ORANGE !
I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
another vote for the terrova.
Got a powerdrive; I use it in saltwater and fresh water, I don't want to use a foot pedal anymore. I carry a spare battery for the remote in the tackle box. The terranova is more expensive I don't know if it is any better no experience with it. I have had mine 2 years now no problems would buy another one tomorrow,
I have a powerdrive and have used it for about a year and a half with no problems, I don't need the foot pedal part. Good luck with whichever you choose they are both good.
RUST NEVER SLEEPS
ive had a powerdrive for 5+ years. other than the foot petal going out on it once, NO problems (knock on wood). but i have been using it less and less the last few years

Terrova v Power Drive,
I have bought P/D's from the first time they hit the market. I currently own P/D V2 with sonar ((it is only down looking)). There is a draw back to the P/D vs the Terrova , when mounting a external transducer for side finding the cable is easier to mount and secure on the Terrova. The shaft of the P/D slides back and forth through the control head for deploy or storing whch prevents attaching a transducer cable to it.
I've owned several of both. Terrova is much easier to stow and deploy and, as stated above, you can use the foot pedal and the wireless remote. Both are great products, you can't go wrong with either.
