    Default High Rock 8/19

We arrived at the lake at 6:30 PM dodging storms, Went to flat swamp area and drifted for about 2 hrs, small fish only as i was trying jigs, moved to a condo at dark set up and started catching 8" to 11 inch fish two at a time, at 10 pm the wind got up and they shut off like a switch had been turned,we used 4 dozen minnows and quit by 11:30, the water was as clear as high rock gets arrival water temp was 86.5 by 11:30 down to 84, we used minnows as jigs didn't produce, water was 26 ft fish caught at 10 to 12 ft, lost count, no pics as all were released.

Nice report; you need to move down the lake some towards second and crane creek a buddy of mine has been killing them down that way for the last couple weeks in less than 10 feet of water. It is getting time to start trolling again if the water temp will drop below that 80 degree mark.

Thanks that sounds like a place for the SS Bourbon it has a remote control trolling motor, i can anchor more precise with it, if the boat drifted as mush as a foot last nite no bite. It was a good trip i was catching them two at a time for a while.

    Poppop, please introduce yourself.

    Where you been?
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

I think the name came with the pontoon, I took it out one time this year and caught only small fish and got fussed at for ruining the boat. Where have you been, no fishing reports no pot reports no Poppop?
