Default Nice shot of my pond at sunrise

I'll never get tired of seeing different backyard scenes depending on weather and time of day such as this one after a moderate snowfall.

The water level was down 5' because of last year's severe drought but rainfall in Nov - Jan. brought it up to full. The pond is 8' deep and has quite a few fish which I was concerned would'nt survive the winter. The water has been unfrozen for most of the winter - something unheard of in the n.e.
Today's temperature is going to be close to near 50 BTW.

    Update

Yesterday the air temperature was near 60 degree and it rained most of the day with a torrential downpour in the afternoon. In Feb. no less!

Today's photo shows the the evergreens and other trees I planted years ago:

Two 4"pipes from the forest wetlands were bringing in 2 gal./minutes but not for long since the temperature dropped into the mid 20's last night. Today it will rise to only 42 by midday but will be near 48 tomorrow and over 50 Mon. and Tues with more rain forecast for Wed. The day before the rain, 3 deer were prancing around on the other side and grazing.

It's been great not having to use near as much heating oil now $4/gal.
