Default New to forum but got after it last week

New to the forum and somewhat new to crappie fishing.

Spent a day on the water last week in the capital area. Myself and a buddy took the kayaks out originally hunting some bass/perch but the bite was slow. Started casting into 8-9ft water and quickly found a good population of crappie. Between the two of us we kept about 24, myself keeping 18. We probably tossed back just as many 8”-9” fish.

A successful redirect of fishing efforts for sure. Glad you got into them and made your trip a success. And that platter of fillets looks great as well!
Welcome to the forum, hoping to see more reports from you.
Yes, I was talking to myself; sometimes even I have to ask for expert advice.
