Default Trolling Motor batteries for new 80lb MK/

I have bought two 12 volt 50 amp hour batteries for my new MK 80lb Terrova. Before I install them I am asking if they are sufficient for the MK or do I need heavier amp hour batteries/

Sufficient ?? .... probably not !! Not IMHO, anyway. You probably want a couple series 29 or 31 (depending on space). My Everstart Maxx has 114 amp hours, and my Everstart series 29 has 122 amp hours ... and I'm only running a 12v 42lb thrust trolling motor.

If it were me, I'd take them back ... then get 2 series 29 batteries of the same or close to the same mfg date. Be aware ... the Everstart series 29 battery weighs 60lbs. And they won't fit a series 27 battery tray.

If you have Academy close by, they have the series 31's for $109. I would not get less than a series 29.

Thanks for the information. I will take them back to Sam's for exchange.
