Welcome from Indiana
I joined this forum a few weeks ago and have been reading and learning, so I thought I would introduce myself.
I live in Boone and am new to crappie fishing. I have fished a couple of times with a cousin who lives in Georgia and hope to learn how to fish the lakes in NC, especially western NC.
I have a BassTracker that I am trying to set up for trolling. I hope to get the rod holders installed today. My youngest son is home on spring break and we hope to do some fishing this week.
Thank you all for the information so far, any tips on Rhodhiss and Kerr Scott are welcome.

welcome from Valdese. A few of us are planning on trying to do a Western social on either Kerr Scott or Rhodhiss sometime over the next couple of weeks. It gives a good chance to meet quite a few people who fish both these lakes constantly. Just check for the sticky at the top of the NC forum.
Welcome from Hildebran, yep this is one of the best places to learn all the new ways to crappie fish. The only other way is to get out there and try all the things you read about, and they do work!
Difference between day and night: Day= one rod, one jig/Night= Many rods & a bucket full of minners
I've been working near you for the last month in west Jefferson welcome aboard!!!
Welcome.
Give a man a fish, feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish, he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.
